Founded in 1924, LOMA is an international association through which more than 1,200 insurance and financial services companies from over 80 countries engage in research and educational activities to improve company operations.
LOMA members are involved in life and health insurance, managed care, annuities, pensions, banking, bancassurance, securities, and other financial services areas. Through its staff and network of industry volunteers, the association serves a large and influential group of companies. (U.S. member companies alone account for approximately 95 percent of the more than 15 trillion dollars' worth of life insurance in force in the United States today.)

RISC INSTITUTE is an education member of LOMA and provider of in-class courses for most of its programs throughout the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.  

RISC Institute provides in class tuition with case studies and quizzes for each examination of the LOMA qualifications listed below. Trainees should undertake further private study leading up to the examination.
Trainees receive the LOMA textbook and a test preparation guide with practice exams and lecture notes by the tutor.
Examinations can be taken online at our centre or can be arranged in your premises (for corporate training). Examinations consist of a two hour or three hour paper of 60 or 75 multiple choice questions. The pass mark for the examinations is 70%.

Learners must complete UND 386 — Underwriting Life and Health Insurance to earn the Certificate in Underwriting.

UND 386 introduces risk assessment principles applied to underwriting individual and group life and health insurance incuding specialized policies and ans supplemental coverages.

ALMI: Associate, Life Management Institute

The Associate, Life Management Institute™ (ALMI®) designation is widely recognized as more than a stop on the journey to the FLMI—it is a milestone in and of itself. The ALMI delivers must-have knowledge for every employee—and a valuable credential. The designation is a globally recognized educational standard that indicates that those who have earned it understand the core products and operations of life insurance companies and comprehend the financial concepts that all insurance professionals frequently encounter. This designation is replacing LOMA’s Level I Certificate in many companies as the education and training “must-have.”

Marketing: LOMA 320 or 321
